Cyber-security is undoubtedly a “hot-topic” in Brazil at the moment, even if the efforts to adopt a binding and more harmonized regulatory framework have not been successful so far.

The adoption of a new regulatory framework dealing with the direct and indirect exploitation of ports and port installations, as well as the activities carried out by port operators, aims at setting up a framework that should attract private investment in the coming years, thus increasing the competitiveness and development of both the sector and the country.
